This page provides practical information about the social programme and technical visits organised during the 24th EGF Symposium. These activities offer participants the opportunity to experience Romanian grasslands, local culture and to network with colleagues from across Europe.

The Romanian Grassland Society is pleased to invite you to the 24th European Grassland Federation Symposium that will be held from 06-08 September 2027 in Iasi, Romania.

The subject of the symposium is traditional grasslands between abandonment and intensification.

The three themes for the symposium are:

• Theme 1 – Traditional grasslands under threats
• Theme 2 – Maintenance and optimization of ecosystem services provided by traditional grasslands
• Theme 3 – Traditional grasslands in socio-economic and policy framework

The social programme has been designed to combine scientific exchange with opportunities to experience Romanian landscapes, culture and hospitality.
